Batter-Coated Fries OK’d As Vegetable - This is funny, of course, but not quite as crazy as it sounds on the surface. This applies to commerce, not nutrition. One quote that is sure to cause a snicker: “The department does not plan to repeat its experience in trying to classify ketchup as a vegetable in school lunches.”
